Butterfly Bouquet Arrow

 


Who loves fun folds? My card today is called an Arrow card.




Card Measurements

Card base:    29.7cm x 10.5cm scored at 14.9cm and folded

1st layer:    14cm x 10cm

Inner layer:    14.5cm x 10cm

Scrap for butterflies and sentiment

Instructions

  • With the card in portrait position, make a pencil mark 5.25cm in on the bottom front edge
  • Flatten the card and cut from the left edge of the score line to the 5.25cm pencil mark on the bottom front edge
  • Cut from the right edge of the score line to the 5.25cm pencil mark on the bottom front edge
  • Save the off-cuts
  • Using a pencil, measure in 5cm on 10cm edge and mark 1st layer
  • Cut from pencil mark to top left hand corner of 1st layer
  • Cut from pencil mark to top right hand corner of 1st layer
  • Save 1st layer off-cuts
  • Adhere inner layer to inside back of card base
  • Adhere 1st layer to front of card base
  • Adhere 1st layer off-cuts to card base off-cuts (you may need to trim them a little to fit properly)
  • Adhere card base off-cuts to inside of card base front so they form the arrow shape
  • Stamp butterflies on scrap using versamark and Butterfly Brilliance
  • Using black embossing powder (retired), heat set butterfly images
  • Die cut butterfly images
  • Colour butterfly images using Stampin' Blends
  • Stamp sentiment on scrap using versamark
  • Using black embossing powder, heat set sentiment
  • Adhere sentiment to 1st layer
  • Adhere small butterfly to inner layer (making sure it will be covered by card front
  • Adhere larger butterfly to front of card base using dimensionals
