About Me

Thank you so much for visiting my page!

So, who am I?

My name is Deb Macdowell and I am married with two adult children and three absolutely wonderful grandchildren! We also have a Labradoodle named Ricky who is a diabetic, insulin dependent and nearly blind as well as our cat Muffett who is a Ragdoll and is always indoors. My husband and I are both retired and decided to have a beach/tree change, now our grandchildren are all at school and we are no longer required, so we moved to East Gippsland, about 20 minutes out of Bairnsdale to Lindenow South.

This is a beautiful part of Australia and we have been lucky enough to build our house on a hill and have fabulous views! We can be at the beach in about 30 minutes, at the snow in just over an hour (during winter) or by the river in about 5 minutes. This area is referred to as the 'Riviera of Victoria' because of the temperate climate and some of Victoria's best produce comes from the river flats near our home.

I joined Stampin' Up!® in 2010 (after a friend hosted a demonstration) and have loved every minute of my association with the Company. Apart from all the fabulous products the company sells, which is more than enough reason to love them, the owners and staff are some of the nicest people I have ever met! This group of people 'talk the talk' but more importantly, they 'walk the walk'! I don't think you could find a better, more encouraging, generous, talented, non-judgmental, friendly, helpful or selfless group of people to be a part of! They truly are amazing! This is obvious from the 'Statement of My Heart':

To love what we do
and share what we love,
as we help others enjoy creativity
and worthwhile accomplishments
... in this we make a difference.

Like so many people, I joined to get a discount. Little did I know how easily I could make enough to support my craft habit or how many friends I would make. There is a definite feeling of 'sisterhood' (I include the male demos in this) within the group and there is always someone willing to help you or encourage you, if you ask (sometimes even if you don't!).
