Timeless Tropical Blending Brushes

Final day of Timeless Tropical stamp set (for a while at least).

Blending Brushes were the go to colouring tool today! I'm so thrilled with the final card!

Card Measurements

Card base:    29.7cm x 10.5cm scored at 14.9cm and folded

1st layer:    14cm x 10cm

2nd layer:    13.3cm x 9.5cm

3rd layer:    13.3cm x 9.5cm

Inner layer:    14.5cm x 10cm

Scrap for sentiment and masking

Instructions

  • Stamp palm trees in black on 2nd layer
  • Stamp palm tree fronds in black on inner layer
  • Place a post it note across bottom two thirds of 2nd layer to make a level horizon
  • Punch out 3cm circle from post it and place so half is showing above horizon
  • Using Blending Brushes, gradually add colour/s to sky
  • When happy with look of sky, remove circle mask and colour with Blending Brush
  • Remove horizon post it note and use it to mask sky
  • Tear a shore line from scrap or post it note and place on 2nd layer
  • Using Blending Brushes colour water until happy with result
  • Using torn off portion of shore line scrap mask water
  • Using Blending Brushes colour sand area
  • Using a white gel pen mark horizon, sun/moon beam, water/waves, shore line
  • Adhere 3rd layer to 2nd layer (I had die cut the 2nd largest rectangle from Ornate Layers dies and thought the remaining piece made a good frame)
  • Adhere 2nd layer to 1st layer
  • Adhere 1st layer to front of card base
  • Adhere inner layer to inside back of card base
  • Using the Many Messages bundle, stamp sentiment in Versamark and Memento on scrap
  • Cover sentiment in clear embossing powder and heat set
  • Die cut sentiment
  • Adhere sentiment to 3rd layer using dimensionals

I hope you have enjoyed my Timeless Tropical colouring posts for new stampers.

I am hopping with Casually Crafting Design Team on Sunday 21st March at 06:00 AEDT so please come back then for another creation!

Cheers
