Today I'm hopping with demonstrators from all over the world. We are taking part in:
I have chosen a Gate Fold card today and added a Belly Band to highlight the butterfly!
Card Measurements
Card base: 21cm x 14.9cm scored at 5.25cm and 15.75cm and folded
1st layer front: 5cm x 14.5cm (x 2)
2nd layer front: 4.5cm x 14cm (x 2)
Inner 1st layer: 10.25cm x 14.75cm
Inner 2nd layer: 10cm x 14.5cm
Belly band 1st layer: 2.75cm x 25cm scored at 7.1cm and 17.9cm (you may have to play with these measurements a little to get the fit 'just' right
Belly band 2nd layer: 2.5cm x 10.7cm (x 2)
Scrap for butterfly, sentiment and belly band ovals
Instructions
- Adhere 2nd layer front to 1st layer front (x 2)
- Adhere 1st layer front to front of card base (x 2)
- Place belly band 1st layer around closed card base and when happy with the fit, adhere ends together
- Adhere 2nd layer belly band to 1st layer belly band (x 2)
- On scrap, stamp butterfly images in versamark
- Heat emboss butterfly images using black embossing powder (retired)
- Die cut butterflies
- Colour butterflies using Stampin' Blends
- Curve large butterfly's wings down with a bone folder/pencil
- Adhere 2nd inner layer to 1st inner layer
- Adhere 1st inner layer to inside back of card base
- Die cut largest scalloped oval (1st layer ovals) from scrap
- Die cut plain oval (2nd layer ovals) just smaller than scalloped oval from scrap
- Die cut plain oval (3rd layer ovals) next size down from scrap
- Adhere 3rd layer ovals to 2nd layer ovals
- Adhere 2nd layer ovals to 1st layer ovals
- Adhere 1st layer ovals to belly band
- Stamp sentiment on scrap (6.7cm x 1.2cm)
- Adhere sentiment to matting (7cm x 1.5cm)
- Adhere sentiment and small butterfly to inner layer
- Adhere large butterfly to ovals using dimensionals
- Close card base and slide belly band over the top
