Make sure you play with your products. Try using them in ways they may not have been intended for originally.
My example of this is the Basic Borders dies. The die I used to make the 2nd layer of my card looks like it was intended as the edge of an envelope. I needed something that was bigger than my central image and thought I could 'adjust' the die to work. It isn't perfect but I was happy with the result!

Card base: 21cm x 14.9cm scored at 10.5cm and folded
1st layer: 14.5cm x 10cm
2nd layer: 10cm x 9cm
3rd layer: 7.7cm x 6.5cm
Inner layer: 14.5cm x 10cm

Instructions
- Adhere 1st layer to front of card base
- Adhere inner layer to inside back of card base
- Adhere strip of 1st layer to inner layer
- Die cut 2nd layer using envelope style border die
- Stamp image on 3rd layer
- Die cut 3rd layer using Stitched Rectangles
- Adhere 3rd layer to 2nd layer
- Adhere 2nd layer to 1st layer using dimensionals
- Stamp sentiment on scrap using versamark
- Heat set sentiment using gold embossing powder
- Die cut sentiment using Messages die
- Adhere metallic pearls to front of card
