Layering Circles Dies, Playful Alphabet Dies and Color Glimmer Paper

How fun is this card??!! I love how bright it is and it's so easy to make! Also, no stamp set required!!

I have made layered circles cards before, some in black and white and some in colour (https://inkstability.blogspot.com/2020/09/september-2020-monthly-team-blog-hop.html) but I thought the Rainbow Glimmer Paper would make them pop just a bit more!

What do you think? Does it pop?

Card Measurements

Card base:    29.7cm x 10.5cm

Inner layer:    14.5cm x 10cm

Rainbow Glimmer Paper and extra Basic Black cardstock

Instructions

  • Using the Playful Alphabet dies, cut out the letters you require from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper
  • Using the plain Layering Circles dies only, beginning with the largest size, cut out every second die from Rainbow Glimmer Paper (largest second smallest)
  • Using the plain Layering Circles dies only, beginning with the smallest size, cut out every second die from Basic Black cardstock (smallest to second largest)
  • Cut all the circles in half (before sticking them together)
  • Alternating Rainbow Glimmer Paper and Basic Black cardstock semi circles, make two piles beginning with largest semi circle (Rainbow Glimmer Paper) and finishing with smallest semi circle (Basic Black cardstock)
  • With the bottom straight edge lined up and each semi circle beginning in the same position (all to one side) glue the first pile together (making sure to alternate Rainbow Glimmer Paper and Basic Black cardstock)
  • Repeat previous step with the second pile
  • Cut scrap of Basic Black cardstock (mine was 3cm x 13.5cm)
  • Adhere letters to form sentiment
  • Place the two semi circles in position that suits you and adhere to card base with dimensionals
  • Adhere inner layer and use scrap of Rainbow Glimmer Paper to decorate
Tip:    I chose to take the smallest Basic Black cardstock semi circles off so more colour showed once sentiment was attached (best decided prior to gluing) 😉

Thanks for taking the time to visit. I'd love to see your layering circle cards - add them to comments!

Pop back tomorrow for another sneak peek using Art Gallery stamp set (available Jan-Jun 2021).

Cheers

  1. I love this card and your black and white ones from earlier post. For some reason I get confused when trying to do this myself. Would you be able to do a video on you tube?

    1. Hi tonilea, Thanks for your interest in my card. I'm not comfortable doing a video, but if you would like, I could run through it with you on zoom. Email me at debmacdowell@gmail.com if that would suit you and we can set up a time that works for both of us.
