Timeless Tropical

One of my team members had a birthday last week and this is the card I made her!!

I love how bright and cheerful it is! Really quick and easy to make too!

Card Measurements

Card base:    29.7cm x 10.5cm
1st layer:    14.5cm x 6cm
2nd layer:    14.2cm x 5.7cm
3rd layer:   13.7cm x 5.2cm
4th layer:    13.4cm x 4.9cm
Inner layer:    14.5cm x 10cm
Scrap:    Whisper White and Magenta Madness

Instructions
  • Score card base at 14.9cm and fold
  • Stamp card front with scattered hibiscus flowers (I used Magenta Madness)
  • Stamp 4th layer with frangipanis (I started with one on the left edge, masked it and stamped the next one. Repeat 3 more times)
  • Colour frangipani flowers with Stampin' Blends (I used Magenta Madness, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green)
  • Adhere 4th layer to 3rd layer
  • Adhere 3rd layer to 2nd layer
  • Adhere 2nd layer to 1st layer
  • Adhere 1st layer to front of card
  • Stamp sentiment on scrap of Whisper White and punch out with Story Label punch
  • Punch out another one but this time in Magenta Madness and cut it in half from left to right
  • Adhere the two Magenta Madness halves to the back of the Whisper White Story Label (show about 1mm-2mm at top and bottom)
  • Adhere sentiment to card front using dimensionals (I placed the dimensionals on the bottom half of the sentiment and a little glue on the top half as the thickness of the flower layers makes up the difference in height)
  • Using In the Tropics dies, die cut the group of three flowers 3 times, one each of Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody
  • Adhere randomly to right edge of Inner layer
  • Adhere Inner layer to inside back of card
  • Scatter clear epoxy droplets on front of sentiment and card and one in the centre of each flower.

I love this card! It really makes me smile!

See you again on Monday 21st December. Then there'll only be 4 more sleeps until Christmas!! Hope you have finished all your shopping!!

Cheers
Deb xx
