How cute is this sweet little elf??!! He reminds me of the tangle you can get in trying to put the lights on the tree! Since I put the lights on the tree first, he needed a plain tree - Winter Woods filled the spot!
Card Measurements
Card base: 29.7cm x 10.5cm
1st layer: 14.5cm x 10cm
2nd layer: 14.5cm x 10cm
Inner layer: 14.5cm x 10cm
Scrap: Whisper White & DSP offcut
Instructions
- Score card base at 14.9cm and fold
- Adhere 1st layer DSP to front of card
- Stamp tree image where you want it on 2nd layer
- Using curvy die and Cut & Emboss Machine, cut from edge of 2nd layer to edge of tree. Repeat from other edge to other side of tree
- Fussy cut rest of tree above curvy die cut
- Adhere 2nd layer to 1st layer
- Using scrap Whisper White stamp image of elf
- Colour with Stampin' Blends
- Adhere elf using dimensionals
- Stamp sentiment
- Adhere inner layer to inside back of card
- Adhere strip of left over DSP as decoration to inner layer
TIP: When die cutting curvy piece, place edge of either top or bottom cutting plate so it covers the curvy die from left edge of 2nd layer to left edge of tree. Repeat from right edge of 2nd layer to right edge of tree.(you can do both but it's not necessary - I use the top cutting plate because it is easier to see exactly where I am cutting)
I love how puzzled the elf looks! Have you ever had a problem adding your lights? I know I have!
Tomorrow I will have another non-Christmas card for you but it will be using Curvy Dies and Glimmer Paper! See you then!!
Cheers
Deb xx
