Floating & Fluttering with Distress Ink

Hello everyone! I promised you a surprise today and I have two!

Firstly, we have been blessed with the patter of tiny paws! A new fur-baby to love and enjoy!💕💕💕🐶

Meet Gemma! She is 8 weeks old and is a medium Australian Labradoodle (sometimes called a Dood or Doodle).

You forget how tiring a young one can be - young anything, baby, puppy, kitten etc. - especially when they are inside and you don't want them chewing electric cables etc. It really does mean constant attention while they are awake.

Anyway, 2 days and we are already totally besotted, although I think it really only needed a few minutes....lol.

I'm sure there will be more Gemma news as she grows!

As a Stampin' Up!® demonstrator, I prefer to use only Stampin' Up!® products, but I belong to a craft group that do all different crafts and each person uses the products they prefer or a mix of all different types. At our Christmas meeting we all took some of our retired products to share (sort of like a Kris Kringle). Then we were challenged to make something with the products we got for our January meeting.

Therefore my second surprise is a card I made using the products I received, which were:

A Couture creations die which was a coral reef background die

Tim Holtz Distress Inks, mustard seed, cracked pistachio and carved pumpkin

I used the Distress Inks with our sponge brayer to make a background and then added the coral reef die as a trellis (mounted on foam adhesive strips). I finished it off with a couple of butterflies from the Floating & Fluttering stamp set and the sentiment was from the Free As A Bird stamp set.
