I had so much fun today making a paper tole magnolia! It's a technique I don't often use because of the time it can take, but it wasn't too bad with this image.
Is paper tole something you would try/do?
Card Measurements
Card base: 21cm x 14.9cm scored at 10.5cm and folded
1st layer: 14.5cm x 10cm
Inner layer: 14.5cm x 10cm
Scrap for extra images and sentiment
Instructions
- Stamp your main image on the 1st layer
- Stamp 3-5 more of the same image on scrap
- Colour all images the same
- Adhere 1st layer to front of card base
- Cut out some layers of main image from scrap (for a flower you could cut out some leaves, the whole flower, inner layer of flower, curled part of petals etc)
- Adhere largest layer of main image to 1st layer over corresponding portion of image using dimensionals (you may have to cut them so they don't show)
- Continue adding layers of main image to the previous layer using dimensionals
- Stamp sentiment on scrap
- Die cut sentiment
- Adhere sentiment to 1st layer
- Adhere any embellishments to 1st layer
- Highlight some areas with wink of stella
- Adhere inner layer to inside back of card base
- Cut out secondary image and adhere to inner layer
Thanks for visiting my page. I hope I have inspired you to try some paper tole yourself!
Come back tomorrow for another blog hop!
Cheers
