Butterfly Bouquet Blog Hop March 2021

Today I am hopping with demonstrators from all over the world in:

You can never have enough butterflies, can you??!! The DSP is gorgeous, the stamp set is beautiful and there are so many dies! What more could you want?

Alisa Tilsner made a video (https://youtu.be/Xy74T1li6Foon this fun fold card and I hope I have done it justice!

Card Measurements

Card base:   23cm x 21cm

1st layer:    20.5cm x 6.5cm (left side front)

                  20cm x 7.5cm (right side front)

Inner layer:    20.5cm x 9.5cm

DSP for butterflies

Instructions

  • Using a pencil mark the top of the card base at 7.5cm and 15cm
  • Using a pencil mark the bottom of the card base at 6.5cm and 16.5cm
  • Using a pencil mark 2.5cm from the top of the card base on each side edge
  • Score from 7.5cm on top of card base to 6.5cm on bottom of card base
  • Score from 15cm on top of card base to 16.5cm on bottom of card base
  • Cut from 7.5cm score line to 2.5cm mark on left side edge of card base
  • Cut from 15cm score line to 2.5cm mark on right side edge of card base
  • With card base in closed position (both front panels folded), cut off excess at bottom so bottom edge is straight to make card stand up
  • Cut 1st layer for each front of card base so it is 0.5cm smaller than the front panel (As the DSP for this suite is 15.2cm x 15.2cm, I joined two pieces for each front panel)
  • Cut inner layer so it is 0.5cm smaller than the inside back of the card base
  • Adhere 1st layers to appropriate front panels of card base
  • Adhere inner layer to inside back of card base
  • Using Brilliant Wings dies cut out butterflies from Butterfly Bijou DSP
  • Adhere butterflies to left hand front panel of card base using dimensionals
  • Adhere butterflies to right hand front panel of card base (optional)
  • Adhere butterfly to inner layer
  • To hold card closed I adhered another butterfly (using dimensionals on right wing) to right hand front panel of card base so the left wing (without dimensionals) overlapped the left hand front panel of card base
