May 2020 Blog Hop with Kylie Bertucci

ANZAC day is a very special day on the Australian calendar and this year it has been celebrated very differently to usual. In honour and memory of all those who fought for our Country I wanted to say 'Thanks'.

This card was inspired by Rachel Tessman and her 'bay fold' technique. Thanks Rachel!

It was a fun card to make and a lot easier than it looks!

Please join in with our hop by voting for your favourite 5 cards. Simply follow the link below by clicking on the image and in the top right hand corner of each card there will be a heart you can click on to add your vote.

Recipe

Card base 29.8 cm x 10.5cm scored at 14.9cm, 15.9cm, 19.4cm, 25.4cm and 28.8cm
These form valley fold, mountain fold, mountain fold and valley fold.

DSP 14.5cm x 10cm cut at 3cm, 8.5cm and 11.5cm

Make sure you keep your DSP in the order it is cut. The last piece is for inside your card.

Attach the 3 pieces of DSP to the front of your card and centred between the score lines. This should leave a small gap between each piece. They should all line up to make the original picture/design.

Glue the front of the card (between the 14.9cm score line and the 15.9cm score line) to the back of the card before attaching the inside layer 13.5cm x 10cm. Then attach the last piece of DSP 3cm x 10cm to the right hand edge of the inside layer.

Add some type of accent on dimensionals (like my Poppy) for the front to form the bay window effect. Make sure to leave enough room for the front to slide under the accent a bit before hitting the dimensional.
