This card was inspired by Sam Calcott. It's a tower pinwheel fun fold card. A fun card but the way I've done it, it's definitely a hand deliver one!
Card Measurements
Card base: 21cm x 17.5cm scored at 2.5cm, 5cm, 7.5cm, 10cm, 12.5cm and 15cm along 21cm side
Flaps: 17.5cm x 6cm (x 5)
1st layer: 17cm x 5.5cm (x 6)
2nd layer: 17cm x 1.5cm (x 6)
Instructions
- Die cut leaves along edge of all 5 flaps and at the edge of the card base after the 15cm score line (ie. 21cm)
- Adhere 1st layer to flaps and die cut edge of card base
- Adhere 2nd layer to flaps and die cut edge of card base
- Adhere edge of card base to 2.5cm score line so edge of card base lines up with 15cm score line (on 2nd layer side)
- Adhere flaps by butting left hand edge to score line at overhang (so beginning at the overhang on the card base and turning the card base one panel at a time counter clockwise until all 5 flaps are adhered)
- I also cut 4 x 1cm x 3.5cm pieces of acetate and folded 1cm back. These were then attached to 4 sides of the hexagon using glue dots. I die cut a circle of leaves and attached so the folded back pieces of the acetate were each side of the circle - two on each side)
- Die cut bird from Ombre Specialty Paper and adhere to circle of leaves
I hope you enjoyed my take on Sam's card.
Cheers
Deb xx
